Transitioning a Summer Romper

Can you believe that we are almost into November already? I feel like I was just celebrating the first day of Fall yesterday! What did you dress up as for Halloween this weekend? Last weekend Sam and I had way too much fun attending the annual 'Halloween Camping Extravaganza' hosted by our friends. I went as a glitzy unicorn complete with a tutu, and Sam was Cheech from Cheech and Chong, the movie series. We played life-size Jenga, had an outdoor movie screening, ate our weight in Halloween treats, and took way too many selfies with their creepy zombie decorations.

This weekend we were supposed to shoot a big project, but unfortunately the weather did not want to cooperate. Instead, we've spent time hanging out at home, snuggling Oli bear, and binge-watching season 2 of Stranger Things (currently on Episode 6!)

Speaking of weather, this season like most in Maryland, has brought its' fair share of unpredictable temperatures. However, as someone who basically freezes to death in the middle of August wrapped in a blanket and slippers, I'm definitely not complaining about the warmer days this October. At the very least, it's given me a chance to take my Summer faves for a spin one last time before they get stored away.

One of the things that I love most about Fall is how creative I can get with my outfits. I love pairing pieces from each season together in a way that only makes sense for an in-between month like October. That's why this feminine, satin romper worked perfectly with knee-high boots and my black moto jacket for a date night downtown.

Sam surprised me with these vintage Prada boots several Christmas' ago. Needless to say, they are definitely a treasured piece in my closet. They fit my legs like a glove and have a bit of a unique shape to the foot. I've linked a similar pair at the bottom!

Another one of my favorite pieces for transitioning into Fall is this layered satin romper from Tobi. Bonus: it's less than $80! The dusty pink color fits perfectly with my feminine wardrobe, but isn't too bright for the cooler temperatures.

I kept my accessories simple in order to highlight the details on the romper and jacket. All I needed was a floppy black hat, and my favorite crystal tennis bracelet to complete this look!
