Spring Neutral Style
Lets’ be honest: I wasn’t exactly planning on going to Stagecoach before this whole pandemic situation canceled it anyway. If I was going to attend, however, this would totally be my outfit for the occasion.
I like to call this outfit my music-festival-meets-Kristin-Cavalari-stylish-farm-girl look. Does that make sense? Maybe the better question is: Does anything make sense right now? Hands up if you feel like you’re losing your sanity in the midst of this global crisis.
Just so you know, I am right there alongside you. I truly don’t know how to describe what I’m feeling other than to say that it has been a rollercoaster of emotion. One day I’m dancing in this empty driveway in a mini skirt and booties and the next I’m sitting on my office floor crying in a sweatsuit… and then the next I’m right back to laughing over funny memes and mixing up bourbon cocktails. It’s a strange time, to say the least.
All I can say for sure is that this season will not last forever, no matter how it feels in the present moment. One day soon we will all be reunited with our family and friends, walking amongst strangers in the busy streets downtown, and waiting in long lines for coffee and ice cream cones.
These messy and unsettling weeks will become a distant memory and we will remember them as a season that taught us to appreciate even the smallest pleasures in life. I have no doubt that this experience will leave us stronger, kinder, and as more loving, appreciative, and compassionate people.
For now, all I can do is choose to think optimistically and stay focused on the activities that bring me joy and some semblance of normalcy. So, for today that is sharing this outfit and some pretty Spring style inspiration with you.
When we get out of this, may we never take a beautiful day and a chance to dress up in a cute mini skirt and booties for granted.
One of the biggest Spring trends I am seeing at the moment is shades of beige and cream combined for classic, tonal outfits that are timeless and effortlessly sexy.
The great thing about this trend is that it works really well for building a capsule wardrobe that is versatile and budget-friendly. With solid neutral pieces, you are easily able to mix and match for an endless array of stylish outfits year-round.
Without further ado, I am sharing my favorite affordable mini skirts, blouses, and accessories for nailing the Spring neutral trend this year below!
