Work from Home Outfit Ideas Under $35
The bad news? A lot can change in 30 days. The good news? A lot can change in 30 days. It’s all about perspective.
Wow. Where do I even begin? To say that a lot has changed since I published a new style post (just 5 days ago) would be an understatement.
Like many of you, I have been experiencing a rollercoaster of emotion as a result of the recent events going on around the world.
After pausing to reflect and speak with some of you personally, I have decided to continue to create and share “normal” content. I know from personal experience that our media channels and newsfeeds are being bombarded with messages that are only worsening our anxiety and fear.
While I am all for staying informed and don’t want to be insensitive to the issues taking place, I am choosing to keep my blog and social media channels a steady and reliable source of inspiration and positivity at this time.
I recently did a poll on Instagram stories to get an idea of what would bring you value this week and many of you requested a work from home style guide. Since this is something I had been intending to share anyway since I transitioned into a remote role at my corporate job, I felt that the timing couldn’t be more perfect!
How many of you have dreamt of working from home? Personally, that was a major goal of mine for many years until I was able to make the transition about 9 months ago when we moved to Virginia.
At the very core, I am an introvert and a homebody. There is nothing that brings me more joy than the ability to see Oliver’s face and hear his sweet snores while I steadily check off my to-do list every Monday through Friday.
My calm, relaxing mornings with a mug of hot coffee, my journal, and the sound of birds chirping outside are something I vow to never take for granted. There is not a single day since I started working from home that I have missed my rushed morning commute, doing my makeup at a red light, and the feeling of anxiousness as a result of being away from Oliver all day.
Now, it goes without saying that a MAJOR benefit of working from home is getting to wear whatever you want. I love getting dressed up just as much as the next girl, but it’s no secret that corporate office wear wasn’t my favorite. As someone who loves frilly dresses, sexy blazer tops, loungewear sets, and over-the-top jumpsuits, you could say that my wardrobe isn’t exactly built for board meetings and water cooler chit-chat.
From experience, I find that I am much more productive, positive, and energetic throughout my work day if I change into something cute and cozy.
I’m not here to tell you that I’ve never had a full day in my oversized robe or pajamas. More often than not, however, I enjoy the routine of getting dressed into something pretty that I can work comfortably in all day long.
My go-to combo is usually a cute t-shirt under a cozy sweater with leggings, fuzzy socks, and blue-light blocking glasses.
Without further ado, today I am sharing my favorite work from home style pieces under $35!
