Unisex Baby Clothes That Are Actually Cute (starting at $7)
I think it’s safe to say that my obsession with newborn clothes started in the same exact moment I found out that I was pregnant. As the positive pregnancy test shook in the palm of my hands, I could practically feel the credit card slipping out of my wallet and our nursery wardrobe beginning to fill.
Now, although the urge to shop came early, I have to say that I feel immensely proud of myself for waiting until the 2nd trimester to pull the trigger on anything. I had a whole “moment”, if you will, in the basement of a boutique shop in downtown Asheville during Sam and my babymoon when I picked out our son’s very first set of outfits.
Since then, however, you could say that all bets have been off. In the wise words of Ariana Grande, “I want it, I got it.”
You want to know the best thing about shopping for baby clothes, though? They aren’t NEARLY as expensive as adult clothes. Unfair, right? It totally is, but I can’t say that I’m complaining too much about it.
The vast majority of the newborn outfits I have been finding and loving have been anywhere from $7 to $20, and that is very much a price point I can get behind.
The other fun thing about shopping for baby clothes in 2021 is that there are so many STUNNING options. Gone are the days of only having bright blue or pink, dinosaurs or princesses, and flannel button-downs or tutu skirts.
My motto from the beginning has been, “if Sam or I wouldn’t wear it, why would we want our baby to wear it?” So, essentially as I’ve been choosing pieces here and there to fill Baby Hartman’s wardrobe, I’ve been keeping our personal style in mind and thinking about what we will feel best dressing him in.
As a result, you’ll find that most of his clothes are muted colors, neutral-tones, minimal patterns and designs, and buttery soft or ribbed fabrics.
Today, I thought it would be a nice little treat to take a break from my usual fashion posts and focus on bebe. I’m sharing all of my favorite unisex baby clothes starting at $7 below!
