15 Mocktails Perfect for the Holiday Season
The holidays are now officially in full swing and, while they may look vastly different, it is still undeniably the most wonderful time of the year. Not only is this holiday season unique since we are navigating it through a pandemic, but this is also the first year that I am pregnant!
Generally, at this point in the year, I am tossing back flutes of champagne, sipping hot toddies out at restaurants, and taste-testing different brands of apple cider with Sam. I absolutely love getting creative in the kitchen and testing out new cocktails, especially during Christmas and New Years Eve when we have an extra reason to celebrate.
This year, just because I have Baby Hartman kicking and squirming around inside my belly, that doesn’t mean that I won’t be enjoying my favorite holidays to the very fullest. In fact, I feel that I can confidently say that this will be my favorite year yet.
Recently, over Thanksgiving weekend, I started trying out a couple mocktails while dining out with Sam’s parents in St Michaels. I had an excellent Moscow mule and a cranberry mint spritzer that was divine. These mocktails were served up just as pretty and tasted almost identical to the traditional cocktails I usually indulge in.
Needless to say, this got me excited about planning our special holiday season with Christmas and New Years Eve just around the corner. While we will be trading in our usual ugly sweater parties and office soirees for intimate family gatherings and more time cozied up by the fireplace, I can’t wait to keep our festive spirit high and create beautiful mocktails for each occasion.
Whether you are pregnant during the holidays this year, getting creative for the little ones, sober, or simply looking to switch things up with family and friends, I got you covered.
To save you from scrolling through the same basic mocktail recipes on Pinterest, today I am rounding up 15 exciting (and festive) mocktail recipes to make this holiday season, ranging from slow cooker hot chocolate to hot pomegranate cider, Christmas sangria, peppermint white russians, and more.
