Home Decor Ideas for Fall That Aren't Tacky
September, here we come! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to welcome the Fall season with open arms, chunky knit sweaters, and a Pumpkin Spice Latte in hand.
There is truly something about Autumn that is so cozy. It is the time of year where I feel like every little detail reminds me to slow down, breathe in the crisp air, and look up at colorful leaves filling the trees around our neighborhood.
This Summer has been weird, sure. But, the change in seasons makes me feel like we are getting a fresh start on the year. The Fall will be all about embracing gratitude, cherishing those small intimate moments, and being present with our loved ones.
There’s nothing like a pandemic to make you realize how much you appreciate the simple act of a face-to-face conversation with your family and a hug that nearly squeezes your insides out. Next weekend will be the first time that my family has come to visit us in our new place since we moved and I could not be more excited.
While we are currently still getting settled into our first home, I am slowly bringing in decor that is thoughtful, high-quality, and fits into our overall aesthetic. Most pieces that I am choosing can transition between the seasons, with a few statement items here and there to make us feel festive without going overboard.
With Fall being my favorite season, it really should come as no surprise that Fall home decor has a special place in my heart. I am a sucker for muted shades of green, cream, and orange, overflowing faux leaf details, minimalist wall decor, farmhouse signs, cheeky doormats, and woven knit throws.
I know that it can be difficult to shop for decorations for Halloween and Thanksgiving that fit the vibe of your home without spending hundreds (or thousands). On the other hand, you don’t want your beautiful, classy home to look like an ad for Party City with bright orange and plastic clutter filling your space.
Don’t worry. I got you, girl. We are tackling both challenges today with minimal, modern inspiration for the chic and sophisticated woman who wants to celebrate this season in style (psst: that’s you).
