Home Decor Trend: Neutral Abstract Art
Of the many home decor trends over the years, neutral abstract artwork may be my favorite. When I discovered Poster Store last month and saw their incredible selection of Scandinavian designed posters and high-quality frames, I knew immediately that my problem-area was solved.
It took me over a year to decide on how I wanted to style our living room. I felt like the giant blank wall was mocking me day after day, making me feel as if we had just unboxed our belongings.
I knew that I wanted to fill the wall behind our couch with something timeless and neutral, but I hadn’t found the right fit until I was browsing through the Poster Store “Illustrations & Abstract Posters” collection online. Once I settled on the 3 prints I loved (Curves Poster, One Line Art No 2 Poster, and Texture Poster) each in size 19.7” x 27.6”, I searched for frames that would highlight the warmer details in our room like the wood floors and faux-leather ottoman.
The oak frames that I found could not have been more perfect for tying together all of the textures and colors in the room. I got 3 oak frames in size 27.6” x 39.4” with 3 white passe-partout 27.6” x 39.4” to give the posters more of a modern, minimalist feel.

One of the greatest things about Poster Store is that they release a new poster collection EVERY Tuesday. Exciting stuff, right? With their large selection of prints in different themes and categories, you are guaranteed to find something that matches your aesthetic needs. They even have beautiful, minimalist posters that are perfectly suited for your nursery or kid’s room; aka no need for bright, cheesy decor.
As if it couldn’t get any better, all of the prints at Poster Store are printed on sustainably produced, high-quality paper with their goal of minimizing their environmental impact front of mind.
Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite budget-friendly abstract artwork from Poster Store (including the 3 pieces I chose for our living room). Then, I’m going to show 3 ways you can style the posters in your home.
